One of the Scottish Governments targets is to create 'A Healthier Scotland' to help people to sustain and improve their health, especially in disadvantaged communities'.
Although many of our projects have an indirect impact on the overall health of individuals the Community Garden specifically focusses on improving health through social engagement, physical activity and healthy eating.
Case Study: Community Growing
This ongoing project based at Castlemilk Stables in funded by Cassiltoun and People and Communities Fund.
The project has developed a group of adult volunteers who regularily work on the garden. This aims to break down social barriers, encourage physical activity and encourage access to local green space.
