Board Member

Bridget was elected on to the Board of Management at the AGM on 12th August 2024.

Born in Castlemilk, Bridget has witnessed so many changes over the years which has been both negative and positive, from better standard of housing and environment to lack of amenities, however the one thing that has never changed is the huge community feeling Castlemilk has. Bridget worked in the care sector which involved working closely with families and individuals from various different backgrounds and cultures.  During lockdown, Bridget created the Castlemilk Cooks Up Memories group, which resulted in a book being printed.  Over the last 2 years, Bridget set up Food Solidarity Soup’erheroes.  This Group supports the Castlemilk community through difficult financial times by sharing Soup Packs and Non-Perishable food items.  Bridget is very passionate about the community and she sees becoming a Board Member as a privilege as she will learn and develop her knowledge and understanding of Housing and the strategic management of the Association.
