Castlemilk Park Volunteers
Castlemilk Park Volunteers are involved in many roles from wildlife surveying, park clean ups, woodland management planning, supporting the children’s groups and our many events – since April 2020 there has been over 500 volunteer hours delivered, which is amazing!
The volunteers attend every Tuesday and Thursday, from 10am-12pm or 1pm-3pm
Tasks they may be involved in are general tidying of the park, wildlife surveys, habitat management and helping with community events.
Many of our volunteers have received accredited training, such as First Aid, a Brushcutter Licence, Strimming Licence, Biodiversity Training, Food Hygiene Training. Volunteers also work with us to design our 'Volunteer Development Programme' where we deliver workshops based on their interest, such as, Confidence Building, Assertiveness, Stress Management, and Health and Safety. We also provide clothing such as boots, waterproofs, t-shirts, hoodies, high-vis, and gloves.
