Why do others volunteer?

People get involved with us for a whole host of reasons.  Some examples are below:

I regularly walk my dog in Castlemilk Park and noticed it could need a little help such as litter picking I saw posters advertising volunteering and I came along to the Friends of Castlemilk Park meeting. I really enjoy contributing some of my time, as I can make a difference in the park becoming a better place for the community. 

I’ve got a lot more experience than I expected since I started volunteering, I have learned about the environment and the biodiversity of the park, as well as being able to get some outdoor exercise. I’ve been given great training opportunities which has been fantastic and I’ve met lots of people.  Everyone is welcoming and friendly.
