Youth Advisory Panel

We are passionate about ensuring that the voices, opinions, and needs of young people in Castlemilk are listened and responded to.

We have a weekly meet-up for young people aged 14-25 years old from Castlemilk who get together with a member of the Community Team. Together, they develop ideas, projects, advise us on what we could be doing better, and have access to a whole range of opportunities based on their interests. This is an informal and friendly space that we aim to make accessible to everyone. 

Some statements we've heard before:

"I'm not coming to a group where I don't know anyone"

We can arrange to meet you in a place you are comfortable with - your home or school, at McDonalds, the library, local cafes, or you're welcome here at Castlemilk Stables.

"I can't come every week"

That's ok.  If you can only come to the group every other week or every once in a while, you're still welcome. 

"I only want to come to the group to get my Duke of Edinburgh/Saltire/other Award"

We are more than happy for you to attend the group until you achieve your award.
